It’s been an exciting two weeks launching my new Paleo Desserts book! The celebrations started in Santa Fe on November 28th, with a book event and sampling party at the Cloud Cliff Bakery. I described the Paleo Diet and explained how to make figure-slimming desserts using low-carb coconut and zero-carb sweeteners. We served delicious Paleo Coffee (made of roasted dandelion and chicory root) with all the trimmings. I demonstrated an Instant Frosting in the food processor. Everyone tasted Carmel Pecan Marble Cheesecake, Carrot Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting, Paleo Fudge, Mexican Wedding Cookies, and Awesome Fudge Brownies with fresh Instant Mocha Buttercream Frosting. And I signed everyone’s books.
I left the next day for Portland, Oregon to do a book signing at the Oregon Historical Society. They had put me in charge of snacks for the 45th annual Holiday Cheer Event. What fun! So we sampled Chocolate Marble Cheesecake, Cranberry Nut Bread, Mexican Wedding Cookies, and Awesome Fudge Brownies. I signed a lot of books. Every evening in Portland we held a class to show people how to make 3 Paleo desserts – and then they got to eat them of course. The final launching party was at the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland December 5th. There we sampled Paleo Desserts recipes prepared by their French chefs! My friends and advisors all spoke about what a colorful journey this has been. Whew! I’ve sold and signed hundreds of books in a two week period. Here are a few of the photos.
